Bob’s Picks for Country Music May 2010

by Bob Fauci on May 12, 2010

This week, I thought we’d take a look at “the decade’s top-selling and most awarded group in country music” …  Rascal Flatts.  They have a hit at # 10 on Billboard this week called “Unstoppable”.  I read recently that Rascal Flatts, along with 9 others, have been named America’s Top 10 favorite musical acts according to a poll conducted in March by CMT.com.   It was also noted that Celine Dion was at the top of the list, which also included Tim McGraw, George Strait, Rascal Flatts and U2.   It was also interesting to read that the demographic breakdown of the results noted that Rascal Flatts ranked highest among single women and people between the ages of 18 and 33.  Recently they’ve appeared on American Idol & even been on Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution.

1. Rascal Flatts – Unstoppable
2. Martina McBride – Wrong Baby, Wrong Baby, Wrong
3. Joe Nichols – Gimmie That Girl
4. Taylor Swift – Fearless
5. Kenny Chesney – Ain’t Back Yet
6. Reba McEntire – I Keep On Loving You
7. Georgr Strait – I Gotta Get To You
8. Keith Urban – Til Summer Comes Around
9. Toby Keith – Every Dog Has Its Day
10. Chris Young – The Man I Want To Be
