Valerie & John had the luck of the draw last night - even though the weather had predicted quite a few showers, the sun came shining through and the ceremony took place outside, where they hoped.
Three Chimney’s Inn in Durham was the backdrop to a beautiful evening wedding. The staff is always attentive and the food was fantastic, as usual. Valerie & John put a lot of planning into their “cocktail reception” & transformed the Madbury Room into a gorgeous ambience with elegant flower arrangements provided by Lyndsey Loring. The colors were orange, green and white – there were lots of candles, high top tables, low tables and lots of room for mingling. The cake was not only beautiful, but delicious & provided by Wild Orchid Bakery in North Hampton.
I had the pleasure of performing their ceremony and at the end of the night Valerie & John said people couldn’t stop talking about how personal and beautiful the ceremony was and how fantastic the music had been. Bob set up an outside sound system, so the background music helped set a perfect mood for their ceremony. Inside the dancing was non-stop after cake cutting and formalities and we saw some moves that we haven’t seen in a long time! The music requests were from all eras!
Robert Ortiz, their photographer, did his usual great job of capturing all kinds of creative, crazy action shots of the crowd.

Bob and Nancy did great! Most of our guests told us it was the best wedding ceremony they had seen. I wouldn’t have changed a thing about my day, we really appreciate all the work put into the ceremony and the reception. Thanks guys!
